A good number of Chelsea players could not return for the pre-seasons since they tested positive for Corona Virus (COVID-19). After testing positive, these players are expected to self-isolate for about 10 to 14 days. It is after testing negative for COVID-19 that they can start training.
Nevertheless, the actual reports have not mention mentions the name of Chelsea players with COVID-19 as Chelsea have not officially confirmed this report. According to the report given by Times, West Ham United, Sheffield United, and Brighton & Hove Albion are some of the Premier League clubs with players that have tested positive for COVID-19 in the recent months.
Frank Lampard who managed to finished forth the last season is expected to start the 2020-21 Premier League season on September 14 and this will be against Brighton. Nevertheless, the fact that some players will not be available because of testing positive for COVID-19, the management is likely to be at risk.
